At Counseling SDC we offer a wide range of therapies to meet your individual needs. Besides our flexible treatment options, we are also able to tailor our schedule to fit your needs with evening and weekend options (both in person and telehealth available).

The Facts

Counseling SDC offers a multifaceted approach to address anxiety, depression, mixed emotions, and trauma. You can benefit from evidence-based and relational therapies tailored to their unique needs.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a cornerstone of treatment, focuses on building skills to manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and increase mindfulness. This structured approach equips individuals with practical tools for coping with distress.

For those grappling with the lingering effects of trauma, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful technique that helps process and integrate traumatic memories. Through guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, individuals can reduce the emotional impact of distressing experiences. (Also Narrative Exposure Therapy)

Somatic work addresses the mind-body connection, recognizing that emotional pain is often held in the body. Through gentle physical techniques and mindfulness, clients can release physical tension and emotional blockages, fostering overall well-being.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy offers a framework for understanding the internal world as a system of interconnected parts. By identifying and healing these internal parts, individuals can develop a stronger sense of self and improve their relationships with others.

Expressive art techniques provide a creative outlet for processing emotions and exploring inner experiences. Through art, clients can gain insights, develop self-awareness, and find new ways to communicate their feelings.

In addition to therapy, Counseling SDC provides case management to help clients navigate challenges and access necessary resources. Conflict resolution skills are taught to improve communication and problem-solving abilities. Counseling SDC also offers suicide prevention services and has trauma-certified clinicians to ensure specialized care for those affected by traumatic experiences.

By combining these modalities, Counseling SDC offers a comprehensive and individualized approach to healing, empowering clients to overcome challenges and build resilience.
